I had 3 spares. One had a beat up emblem. The rest were missing the pioneer letters and the emblems.

In 2014 I picked up this Pioneer 11-60 with a couple of Homelites I was after. It has sat since then. It looked like someone took an axe to the tank, the bearings were very loose and I almost pitched it. A friend gave me a couple of Holidays (same frame) and one has some issues and became a donor saw for the 11-60.

Not sure why I bothered to fix it up some as I'm guessing it's no hotrod or anything special. Still have to paint the black panel on the clutch cover, kit the carb make a couple of gaskets and install it and fix up the muffler bolts.
The carb primer has been set aside for now and this saw will have a choke.

My paint prep on the saw was less than stellar. Pictures do lie.

This Pioneer version was sort of a pea soup color when new rather than the traditional yellow. The photo's show the color as it would have been I think but it's somewhat greener than it appears in the pics.
Looking forward to running it soon. New bearings, seals, fuel line, gaskets and the points cleaned up. It has great spark now.

I just got a 11-60/1200 going last weekend but it's more of a junkyard dog than that. Gotta love those old pioneer duel port mufflers

This one was pretty much a junkyard saw as well. I wish I had a media blaster. Scraping what was left of the paint off took a loooong time.

Did you like the 1200? I'll be interested to see how it stacks up against a Super XL

Cleaning the carb now and have to make a couple of gaskets for carb->spacer->box.

Seemed to run OK but like I said just a junkyard dog would like to put new seals and all but other projects on the go. Also put a walbro from a xl 76 I think. probably put the Tilly back on (thought it was carb but it was a broken condenser wire...)

After priming the 11-60 and pulling 6 times I realized the switch is forward on. Flipped it on and it fired up first pull. As for oiling. I better buy a case.

It's not too noisy.

No pics. Cleaned up the mess though. A Stihl would be green with envy. Those old saws that called for motor oil really put the oil out.

There's a screen on the pick up for the auto oiler that may be plugged. You'll find it on the end of the banjo fitting going into the oil tank under the muffler.
