Mr. Firewood,
I have a Pioneer 3071 saw and bar a guy gave me a few years ago. At that time the saw would run for a few seconds when you put gas down the carb. The carb gaskets are hard as a rock. It has an OMC carb on it and I was never able to find a carb kit for it. You can have the saw and bar as I have no use for either one. The markings on the bar are 472144, 24 058, 60, pioneer, made in Canada. I assume it is a 24 inch 58 gage. It is also a hard nose bar. I no longer have the chain for it so I cannot tell you the number of drive links it used. Let me know if you want it and I will bring it to the GTG.

So how many guys are in for the cookie racing? I just had a guy ask me if we were going to have some racing that he would make the 4 hour trip down, he just didnt want to come down for a firewood cutting gtg.

So are we going to have some racing?

Cause i know this guy has some fast gas saws to reckon with and a huge piped saw for the open class pipe saws.

I just ordered my first loop of square chisel that will see it's first cut at the GTG. If you'll agree to run some dull chain that's on backwards, I'll agree to race ya. :D

I'd love to see how my DN361 stacks up. I've never cut cookies before but I'm game to try. Too bad you sold your DN361, CaseyForrest. It would have been interesting to see how they compared. I'm not sure I want to run your DN441:hmm3grin2orange:

Its to bad Im not coming. Ian has his DN361, so youll have to put it up against his.

Dusty, you were right. This loop of square chisel isn't all that sharp out of the box. I can see where the points have been dulled in handling/shipment.

Oregon or Stihl chain?
Square out of the box the stihl comes out much sharper for a working chain, the oregon is pretty dull till you file it. Just from the ones I have bought i have noticed this.

This is Oregon chain that I got from Bailey's. It'll get the round grinder treatment after I'm done playing around with it unless someone at the GTG wants to trade me for a loop of RC or SC. I just picked up the loop to see what square was all about. It's 66DL of 3/8 .050
