I'm trying. Pistol is worth about $650, so yes a deal. This saw is way more then most anybody needs, including myself, and has been listed for a few weeks now. Guy says he is interested. Probably looking to get rid of this monster. I'll probably be in his same position in a years time.

Are you buying this? Because that is some deal for sure

I would get the deal done and sell the 880 with the bar for $1500. You get a pistol and $500 in your pocket...now that's a good deal!!!

Roger. The way I read the first post sounded like you were getting the saw plus SIG for $1000. I was gonna say!

Edit: Wow, I haven’t looked at 880 prices in a long time! $2200 plus, I remember seeing them for $1700 or something like that.

Looks like no deal. He now wants $1300 + the pistol. I countered $1100 and he could keep the 47" bar.

I occasionally put the 32" bar on my ms461 and it is overkill. I rarely see a tree that would require a 47" bar. And if I did, and I dropped it, then what? I'd have to lay tracks and hire a crane to move the pieces.

Honestly I see myself selling this. It was a way to sell the P220. If I do keep this, slim it is, I will run my 32" bar and chains on it. My 461 is a monster, and as mean as it is, it rarely gets used as it is overkill for larger then 24" dia trees that I tackle. My ms290 is a finely tuned and with the razor sharp chains is my go to saw >90% of the time.

Get a 41” bar for $105 at any Stihl dealer.

I got it, and it is absolutely brand new. Not a mark on it. Guy says it probably has 30sec of run time on it. Factory and the once briefly he fired it up.

He says it has all the bells and whistles on it. I'm not sure what that all means, but he had to special order it from the factory in Germany and had to wait 3 weeks for it to show up. ???

Looks like he was going to run the 47" bar with a .404 chain on it. If this becomes a saw I will keep I will likely change out the rim sprocket and run the 3/8 with 0.05 gauge like my other saws.

The guy bought it 6 months ago, to mill slabs to make custom furniture. He found out that you can't just go off into the wilderness and process wood for purposes other then firewood. Expensive lesson for him. I'm now wondering what he is going to do with the 47" bar and chain. I just can't imagine there are a lot of ms880s around needing a monster bar.
