What's up with you guys not staying on topic, I always do. Have we simply exhausted the subject of chainsaws, or are we reduced to going back over exciting threads such as bar oil?

Doug Here's what I want to build you, this pc on the right will piss all over any Dell. P4 2.8gtz with raid set. You can see the 2 120gb western digital jb2's with 8mb cache. 128 meg video card and a Creative soundblaster audigy card. If you look in the front there is 2gig of DDR 400 memory. All for about $900. or so.

I would be willing to trade a machine like this fully loaded with Win 2000 for an 088 with bar and 25' of chain.John this will perform tasks on your photo shop like no other Pc.

I disagree with Gypo though, the topic of saws has only been superficially explored (just my opinion though).
Long ago I asked the question why many of us have an almost spiritual connection with chainsaws.
This phenomenon can be found in some people and their vehicles or boats or, in general, things mechanical.
More than just a "Tim the Toolman" need for more power, there exists an innate fascination with the machines we create to enhance our ability to modify our environment.
While the tree hugging, vegan, granola crunching protester sees this modification as evil, we know instinctively it is about survival.
This being said I propose that Gypo, the chainsaw psychologist, offer his services to help us all get in touch with our feelings in this area.

This is my other new toy........All parts from the frame up accumulated over a period of a year soley off e-bay.....All assembled this past week and In the process of completion as we speak.When my wife saw it,she shrugged,looked again, and said where did that one come from?????
