A big thanks to Levi and family for one great GTG.
The weather was perfect, the company was great and the food was awesome.

Anyone what wasn't there, you miss seeing Levi's 660 run. Heck of a saw. I have a new respect for the 660. I want a piped saw now.

I finally got to see the famous Andyshine's 372xp and I can say it's as badazz as what I've hear. If I could have any one saw there. Well let's just say I was fighting temptation every time I came near it.

There were alot of great saws there and I got to run a few of these great saws. Only bad part about running someone else's saw is it makes me want one like it.

I was really impressed by BillG's collection. It almost reads like a personal wish list for me.

I brought my 3120xp and finally got to run my big bar. I didn't think it be that much fun to run a bar that big, but it was. A few of the guys ran it too. They seemed to enjoy it. Which I'm glad. The saw maybe almost useless for what I do, but if it brings a smile to my face or someone else's than it's well worth it weight in gold. It will be at the next GTG for those who didn't get to run it or like to run it again.

Thanks again to Levi and family for a great GTG and to those who let me run their saws.

I'll see you guys at the next GTG. (well unless I have to make a choice between you guys and girls in bikini's again lol)

The little Sachs-Dolmar that shows up a few times is another saw I've never seen in person. What's the story on it,is it a "Wankel Rotary" engine by any chance.
I think a broken rope is a pretty good thing sometimes.I leave an 041 Farm Boss down at my father-in-laws that used to get loaned out once in a while. It suffered a broken rope last fall, the rope was fixed this spring by someone. Now it has a bad (disconnected) impulse line,so it stays put until I need to use it.(Someone figured out the "wide gap" sparkplug trick a few years ago.I doubt they'll figure out the impulse line.)

Just wanted to say thanks to Levi and Crystal for hosting such a great GTG, I'm not sure what you guys sold or kissed to get that weather brought in, and I don't think I wanna know, but Thank Ya. Smack in the middle of July and I had the chaps on all day, barley broke a sweat sawing in the sun .

If you weren't there you really missed out, Levi's piped 066 is one sweet ride, I think I'm gonna have to try one of those myself. --->:D<--- (every face that ran or even watched that thing run)

Bills truck bed read like a who’s who in the saw world.... 090, KMS 4, Contras (yep that’s with an s) BP-1, SP125, Bender, Couple Homie 750's, Mercury two man... and the list just keeps on. I can't imagine what bills first impression of me must have been as I stood there with that glazed look in my eye, mouth hanging open drooling all over his saw collection. He must get that reaction a lot cause he just kinda quietly said hello picked up my jaw for me and handed me a napkin..... seriously another great guy I'm proud to say I've met, a big thanks for letting me run some of those legend's I'm still smiling.

Got to see some old friends and meet some new ones, even got a promise for an invite to the next impromptu GTG, cookout, and beer tasting at Fatguys place with Andy and Mopar.

Mark, it was good to meet you and I promise I wasn't mad about you taking that picture.

Got to run Mopars Poulan xxxx from back before Poulan was a dirty word.... there's a real eye opener I'd put that thing up against anything anybody wants to bring in it's class from today. (Yep I remember what model it was I'm just not gonna tell anybody until I've found one for myself.)

I think all those who tried out the splitters agreed that the Fiskars super splitting axe was the way to go.... anybody want to buy a Stihl/Ox Head sticking... oops I mean splitting axe???

I got to spend a little more time talking to people this trip and really enjoyed it. A great day and great time in general thanks to all for a fun day.

So when are we doing it again??

Been toying with the idea of hosting one here myself.... anybody up for a two day, cook out, camp out, saw race/fun run, and shoot the sh!t???

Thinking maybe a Saturday and Sunday bring a tent or a camper kinda thing where folks could come either day or stay the weekend for those who want to or have a long drive to get here. Every time I leave one of these things I always think how much fun it would be to just sit around the fire with a cold one and shoot the sh!t with these guys and how long the drive always is both ways for just the few hours of fun we all have. Be a lot more fun if it wasn't such a chore to cram it all into one day.

What do you guys think?? Anybody up for a two day'er 25 mi. north of Louisville KY??? maybe in the fall so it's not so hot... I don't have the hook up Levi's got with the weather.

I'm all over that like a setting hen on a housecat!!!!

(even tho that would be the closest GTG to me (by far) that I've attended)

I guess I'm going to have to do a little work on the slower 4200 although it's no slouch either for a junky old Poulan!

A 5' bar might not be the most practical thing to run, but damn it was fun!

Best part was every time someone went to pick up it, they always had to strong arm it since it was so heavy and everyone seemed to underestimate the weight of that bar. Those standing around got a chuckle everytime someone new grabbed it!

Bout forgot a thank you to himwill for the fancey oil caps. They work great, tried it out today at the in-laws house. FIL does have a saw that can run a big bar so I went there to help. Also Erick I'll have a new little one running around begining of October, so hope I can make your gtg. Maybe early September would be great.

25 mi. north of Louisville KY???

I'm in if I'm allowed on the property. Dusty, you ridin' shotgun again? It'll be a nice short trip this time. I promise not to eat beans and hard boiled eggs the night before this time either.
