DANG, 26 pages in 5 days! Is that a record?

I must confess I didn't read every post... but I wouldn't mind some free firewood now and then. What I've done the last couple years is scam some wood from nearby lots after they've been cleared by the insured pros. Don't worry - I ask first. :)

The next time guys are cutting down trees on vacant lots in my neighborhood, you think they'd let me cut down a tree if I asked nicely? Or would they say it's a liability and make me feel like a shmuck?
How the crap am I supposed to learn how to fell a tree if no one shows me?

Step 1. Get a license.

Step 2. Get insurance.

Step 3. Get an environmental impact study.

Step 4. Get a work permit.

Step 5. Hire a pro to teach you. Oh... be sure to check their license, insurance, etc.

Step 6. What was I doin'?
