I just purchased and modded this little MS150TC for an arborist in MN. These little saws run fantastic after just a little work. They're only 23.6cc and weigh 5.7 lbs., yet they run like this!
This one, yes. Mine has 63PS on it. I'm not sure which I like better. The 1/4" cuts very nicely and is ooooh soooo smooth.Wish it was mine.
Still running the 1/4" chain?

$490 after tax. Mods and shipping are $75 total. So, $565 modded and shipped.Brad, what the tally on the $$ on this type of saw? modded? Around here at the stihl dealer they are $500 otd.
A muffler mod, advanced ignition timing, and a properly tuned carb make a BIG difference. Were there pretty good gains from the mods then? I just got my rear handle 150, but have only ran it one day. I think with that Picco 1/4 chain, it probably cuts as well as the 170 with 3/8 that it's replacing. After I got a couple tanks through it, it seemed to do not too bad. Not real sure about the oiler though. Seemed fine while working, but when I was breaking the bar in, oil was slobbering out the sides and not really being pulled by the chain.
