Almost need a bachelor degree in chainsawology sometimes just to understand what mounts fit what saw sometimes. Must be hard for someone buying their first saw and trying to learn this stuff. :dizzy:

I don't think anyone knows it all - there is always someting new to learn.....:givebeer:

It has been established in another thread that the Cannon C1 mount covers both the K095 and the Stihl 3005 (as advertised by Cannon) - but also the K041, as indicated by Baileys. :)

I am a bit surpriced that bar works on the 420 etc, and also that it is not listed by Baileys to work on the small mount Stihl saws.

It is listed (by Baileys) as a C1 mount, and as far as I know the C1 is for small Husky (K095) and small Stihl (3005) Mount, but not the K041 that the Dolmars are supposed to use?
Well, I finally received the Cannon SuperMini bar from Bailey's today. It's a 14" bar 50dl and a 51dl Stihl lopro chain and appears to fit perfectly. I took a number of pictures, opinions?

I've had problem throwing chains on my Ryobi Redmax Gz400 clone saw. It never ruined the drivers but it did leave a burr on several of them that needed removed. I buzzed the chain with a Dremmel and put the chain back to use.

I've had good luck finding used bars on parts saws on Ebay. Some of the older top handled Craftsmans came with a 9 tooth sprocket. I bought one for $10 with a like new Oregon Pro Am black and white 16 inch bar for my Ryobi, and I bought a Tsunarma hardnosed Echo branded 14 inch bar that I swap between my Ryobi and my Jonsered 2238.

Look at the thread for the Poulan 25cva that is on here from today nd look at the bars on those oldies.

I want to upgrade the bar on my 421 and am looking for suggestions. I would like to stay with a 16" bar so I can continue to run my Oregon Lo Pro chains.

I've been using a Raisman ES160SDEA041 bar with the PS-421 and a semi-chisel. No trouble. Also, Carlton might have a bar.

I'd like to update this as I finally bought a new bar after throwing yet another brand new freaking chain last weekend. Went with the Oregon Pro 91 which is made for there 91vxl chain which is what I'm running. No time yet on the bar but I should get some time in this weekend.

Got to use it today and I am much happier with this over the stock bar. I don't know what happened to the factory bar bit it wouldn't cut straight for nothing this one cuts straight as an arrow and the large radius is so much nicer for marking my log lengths off.
