i use echo red armor and it has a slight sweet odor when i burn it but smelling it right out of the bottle smells like a mix of hypoid and fish oil
Thank you for the excellent detail. So would you rate Maxima K2 as having the least odor?
Maybe it's just me but I smell the Stihl synthetic oil but Not the Amsoil Saber which I run at ~ 40:1

Least is hard to say, maybe less offensive in odor. You're burning fuel and oil, the type of fuel effects smell greatly as well. I'm fine with all of the oils I listed. The only way for you to find out is to buy a few small bottles and find out which one you like best. TrueFuel 50:1 uses Motul 800, so you could buy a bottle at Home Depot to see if you like it.
I've found that Motul 800 2T has low odor. That coupled with some engineered fuel makes for a pleasant exhaust.

I can hardly smell the Amsoil at all.
We need to get Gary in here. Quick.
Just out of curiosity does it really matter if you use non-aircooled 2 stroke oil (ie. dominator, Klotz, etc) in a saw?
Well..I guess you can pick your poison...I have 'read' that 'dominator' should Not be used and also 'read' folks
using it for years with No problems...I just don't understand why someone would run it instead of 'Saber'..??

I honestly wouldn't know...I can only get Bel-Ray in my area..at least that I'm aware of.Yeah I wouldn't but isn't the belray, klotz, and motul used for watercooled applications also.
U'r absolutely right, it is a synthetic blend. As I said, it may well destroy your 435 in one tank, but it is pleasant to run:msp_biggrin:
