What year? Is it new? If not (doubt it) use whatever the former owner used. I use 50:1 stihl in all my stihl gear.

Thanks, L J - The saw is about 10 yrs old. The decal says only "034" so I don't think it's a super, etc. The previous owner used both 40:1 AND 50:1 in it, depending on which gas can was closer. I just wanna run the right stuff in it from now on. TIA

I use 50:1. I would recommend that you use 50:1 of a high quality oil, such as the stihl brand.
I am not a higher up on chainsaws, but its what I recommend.
50:1 in the premeasured bottles from Stihl. Dont think you will do any harm with that.
