How Do You Know if Your Chainsaw Chain is Worn Out?

I wanted to ask this question for LONG!

How do you guys know if your chainsaw chain is worn out?

Are there any signs you look for? Any tips or tricks that can help me figure out when it's time for a new chain?

Most chains have a line on the top of the cutter close to the rear of it. It's to help you file at the right angle and let you know when its wore out, when you get back that far it's time for a new chain.

Yes, when the cutters start breaking off. The chain on one of my 036 is about at this point but the chain still cuts great, if it's sharp. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow after I give the chain it's final sharpening.

The chains last quite a while after the witness marks have been filed off.
