I picked up an old 335XPT top handle saw at a good price,35.00$. The saw starts and runs great. My problem is that it quit putting out any oil. I did a search and found that they had problems with this in their early 335's. The plastic worm gear is stripped. Should I replace the entire oil pump along with the gear? Is there a better pump and gear available now?. I haven't messed with to many Huskeys and it looks like I will have to go pretty deep to replace the pump. Thanks for any info .

Try to replace only the plastic gear first.Check the small gear condition also.I check,Husky never release service bulletin about 335 oiler.Did you check the adjustment screw?
