all of the offroad vehicles (atv/dirtbikes) are regulated. You get colored stickers with your registration that tell you when you are allowed to ride. So basically its illegal to use your personal property during certain times of year etc.
The green/red sticker thing is only for riding on public lands. You can do whatever the owner allows on private property and no sticker is needed. Green sticker bikes can ride any time, red sticker is only about half the year.

When they implemented the red sticker program I was bummed because I loved two stroke bikes. And there were emissions clean ones coming! Honda had an experimental clean two stroke that I rode, and they later sold production versions in other countries. CARB restricted them anyhow. ****ers. I managed to get green stickers for some of my new trials bikes because they were so unusual they were not on the red sticker list. That doesn't work any more.

On the other hand, we now have off road bikes that not only meet green sticker emissions, they meet road emissions! It took the manufacturers a while to get there. I think the same will happen with battery tech for saws. Already there are professionals using battery saws. The last set of contractors clearing the PG&E lines by my house in the woods were using Stihl battery saws. Its kind of nice to hear a quiet whirr instead of loud engines. It's going to be a while before the tech and manufacturers catch up but we may have big battery saws that weigh about the same as our current gas saws. It might take 10 or 15 years though. I'll stock up on gas saws to get me through.

Even if they produce a battery equivalent to that of the same capacity in a combustion engine, I’ll take the engine any day.
Heck the battery could be lighter and more powerful and I’ll still take a combustion engine - combustion engines are a passion for me..

While California appeases their own stupidity with battery, the rest of the world will happily continue to rip with combustion engines..

I hope you are right but look at your birth country and now your adopted one. Even the non socialist governments have swallowed the climate change Koolaid. Wait till Labor gets back in.

Anyone who wants a good laugh, Go back and look at the first “Earth day”. And everyone since then. We should have been extinct 20 times over by now. It’s the strangest thing. In the northeast it’s cold and snows in the winter then hot in the summer! Fluctuates a little some summers are hotter and some winters are colder. It’s called weather. Ive been going off road and striper fishing on the shores of cape cod since I was a wee lad in ‘84. The beaches are still there! I bring my kids on them. Global warming was a lie so the limp wrists called it something dumber, climate change. So yeah it’s a joke we laugh at you.

I once cut grass for a living, and my equipment ran pretty much all day. How would that work with battery power?
Have a runner going back and forth running/charging batteries? Or just buy $20,000 worth of batteries. Do they even have the technology for a larger truck/trailer rig?

The people pushing these agendas don't care. They don't have consideration for the working class or how they will get by and run their business. They also don't want people living outside of cities, we are nothing but primitive hillbillies to the elitists.
Their ideal vision is no one needing gas equipment or cars because we'll be forced to live in apartment buildings with no ability to put up a fight.
Mark my words, in our lifetime the "outliers" will establish autonomous zones because they will no longer have any representation once they are out-populated by the urban dregs.

Just buy manual equipment and hire the new influx of immigrants

One of the larger companies had a larger battery pack, about the size of a generator and meant to be left on the truck. Recharge the tool batteries from the larger battery on the truck, charge the larger battery overnight at home or shop.

I think it was Bosch?

The $20,000.00 figure will be used up in the battery for the hauling vehicle. You probably have an idea of additional cost for the batteries for the string trimmer chainsaw and such.
A battery riding mower not a zero turn seems to cost $4000 where the v twin 20 hp or so one costs $2000. You should select a hauler that can power your battery chargers.

They have $30 million to give away to the landscaper types who need new equipment.

I did not find the actual wording of the thing Newsom signed.

As with much stuff they pass a law then another non elected division makes the regulations.
