Hello, Im new to this forum, but have been reading several on this site. Its a great site. I have a McCullough 3516 with a oil pump problem. All most locked it up before realizing I had a problem. I cleaned all the sawdust out and still had the problem. I pulled the saw apart and removed the flywheel to check the oil pump. It looks ok and is clear of debris. The pump assembly spins ok and the nylon gear, o-ring, and spring look ok. Question is, is the worm gear on the crank shaft supose to spin freely. I can spin it on the shaft. Any help would be apreciated.
