Got myself into a project that I should have known better...
Recently got my hands on some Stihl junkers, one was a broken MS180 that started and ran, just had some broke handles. Have a neighbor, who needed a saw, they are poor, etc.
So I told him he could have this one, put good handles on it, gave it to him. Told him to give me a few more days and I could scrounge him up a good bar/chain.
He brings it by today with a new Oregon bar/chain on it, and says that it keeps dying on him.
Went through the carb, looked OK, put back together, kept acting squirrelly, dying etc....
Since he got a new bar/chain, figured, what the hell, dig deeper.....
Looking closer I noticed this in the intake.
