MS362 Air Filter

I seem to remember reading that the air filter on these earlier models had been revised from a 'plastic' to a 'metal' component design? I've checked mine for the past year after each use and see no leakage of fine dust to the carb and I don't use any silcone grease as a sealant either. But just to be on the safe side, can this older filter/362 model accept the new 'metal' design filter? P/N's guys?? Thanks.

I would also like the part numbers for it. A buddy of mine has one and he wants a new filter for it.
