I'm gonna make a sleeper out of this one ala Jerry's 650. :)

Yep, same engine ,sandcast body, just a little heavier than a 600 series die cast body design. The air filters are a little more restrictive and you can change over to the Tillotson HL 129 A from a 600 series saw.Do the internals and it will surprise you.

Jacob J, That saw looks like my old IEL RA. If you are going to mod it, post pics.

Dave- I sure will. We'll keep this Pioneer thread rolling with some build and restoration stuff.

Jerry- that's what I'm hoping. I have a couple different cylinder and piston sets now and a few different carburetor choices, as well as an extra crank and rod. So it'll be interesting what kind of witche's brew I can whip up on this thing. I'm really liking these old IEL/Pioneer saws.

Pioneers -Tough and Determined Like the People They Were Named After!

Well over the past couple of new days. I have done some wheeling and dealing myself. Traded my 051AV, XL800 and my PM saws for a Pioneer P60's (not sure if it's a 60, 61, or 62), Pioneer/Partner P45 and a box full of P45 parts mixed with some Poulan Pro 455 stuff. So I guess I can saw I'm bringing in the new year with a bang.

11-10

My father in law recently purchased an 11-10. It has a way funky fuel system in it that incorporates a primer, a really big piece of felt, and a few other things. Is there any way to convert this saw to a more conventional fuel system? Thanks in advance to all you Pionner gurus.

Nice Score

Mile9,
From the looks of things, the P60 series saw should be a P62. Turn it over and there should be a plate under the handle that has a number on it. It should also have a (I think) roundish coil instead of a rectangular one. I cut all my firewood this year (+/- 8 cords) with my P61 and P62. Love 'em!

Mile9, nice aquisitions, are you going to restore those? I love those big Western spikes.

I just bought another P61 and a P42 today for overhaul ($100 each with low compression but otherwise nice). I'll probably sell them them after they are done. I think they were on the block for parts. I hate to see that.

Does anyone know if a half-wrap handle from a farmsaw will fit a P60? I am not a big fan of the wrap handle and have an extra half wrap laying around.
