I have a pro mac 10-10 and the oil pump has decided to stop working. How does this pump work. I took it apart but couldn't decide what made it pump.
Could't see that anything was broken. Thanks for the help

its a diaphraghm pump, it could have a blockage somewhere that you cant see. also, when was the last time the bar groove was cleaned out? sometimes its the simple stuff that makes a problem seem complex.

The round fiber disc is used as the "piston" to pump oil.Sometimes it became worn, change the small o ring under the fiber , be sure its tight to avoid leak. Also tighten the 3 bolts that holds the pump tight.Blow air in the oil passage also.
If you want to know if she pumps before intalling it,just squirt a bit of oil in one of the 2 holes on the top of the pump, and push the "piston" few times to see if oil comes out from the other small hole.
