So I spent this winter restoring a 1979 Honda XL250s. Bought it in a box for $400. Bought a donor bike for $100. I rebuilt the top end and a bunch of little stuff and its good to go. I recieved my collector plates last week. Runs like excellent , does bring back memories about all the ones I sold. The guy sold it because he and the shop could not get it running, they tried numerous coils, cdi unit and pickups,,, but they never checked the wiring too much as the cdi was grounded out in the headlite!!! I also have a XL500 awaiting its turn.
