Trying to figure out if the S 032 AV-E magneto coil is the same one as the S 032 AV points / condenser magneto coil.

If not how are they different and what bearing might this have on electronic ignition trigger modules?

My AV electronic has one magnet on the flywheel with N & S poles.

Also not sure if my coil is good -

The (032 AV electronic) coil seems to have a rather high turns ratio as determined by resistance measurements:

The primary is 0.9 ohms, the secondary is 8570 ohms. That gives a turns ratio of 9522 to 1.

Thanks, Jim

I should have said "high tension lead to ground" instead of "secondary". If the spark plug lead is resistance wire that distorts the measurement. There's no way to pop the lead and get the coil reading directly.
