And do not underestimate the new hard solders available for the light metals! They really do work. They require skill to use, like anything else, but they do stick to Mg and they are stronger than Mg. I've repaired a couple of blown out clutch covers already and when I get some more time, I'll start fiddling with the stuff again.

Sounds intriguing... Can you provide any product names or other more specific info so one can investigate further? A quick Google search didn't turn up anything that sounded like what you're describing. TIA.

If your local welder is skeptical about welding magnesium just tell them that it's just like aluminum without an oxide skin so it's actually easier to see your weld pool and add to the puddle. Same as welding cast aluminum, cleaning and preparation of the weld area is 90% of the battle. Just don't weld continuously on it and use a large gas diffuser to keep it from sparking off. If you don't have someone local I can tig weld magnesium and I have the correct filler rod.
 
Clutch drums

Hey all, I have 9 new aftermarket (Stens) clutch drums that I'm looking to trade off.
McCulloch: # MC443-A7N - 10-10, 610, 700, 850, PM50, PM60, SP60
McCulloch: #MC446-R6N - most small macs - m/m, pm, titan 35-40, not sure about the newer junk
Poulan: #PO 526-A7N - 245, 306, 4200, 5200
Poulan/craftsman: Herr# B224-m6 - top handles fits 2000, not sure about all the others
Poulan/Craftsman - #530069160 - Poulan/craftsman top handles fits 2000, not sure about all
Poulan/Craftsman - #530069193 - Clutch assembly
Echo: #EC201-R6X - CS280, 290, 300, 328
Echo: #EC208-A7N - CS 500, 510, 550, 610, Twin

(?)Redmax: mid-size(?) These have a retainer to hold the rim on, and 4 protrusions on the end of the spline to drive the oil pump.
Shindaiwa; # 22131-78120 - .325 x 7 rim

I'm looking for a Poulan 306/ 361 piston, 361 cylinder
Alpina/Castor CP 90 recoil, coil, carb
Homelite 450/550 parts
Stihl 44mm 028 piston, and electronic coil
McCulloch Double Eagle 50 Chain brake/clutch cover

I got them both and willing to get rid of them. I believe two people were interested already in them and i am not sure why i bought them so willing to just get out what i got into them!
Ill part out if people want parts and ship if you pay shipping.

Jim, I have a Poulan 361 rebadged as a Wright 136. IIRC, the p&c look good through the exhaust, just a lot of nasty carbon build-up. Between some Swap Meet deals & the Christmas Giving thread, my PM space is currently at a premium :bang:.

I'm posting to back-up what G posted. When I posted the link to these saws (not knowing that G had snagged them), a couple of ASers contacted me, one for the complete Echo CS-60, & one for clutch parts off the Homelite 150. Hopefully y'all can work something out directly with the marble man.

Jim, I could use that Echo #EC208-A7N for a 500/510.

I don't have anything you need except some green paper.
 
Hello men, I need a 16" 3/8 X .050 Bar to fit a Husqvarna 346.

I have parts, and or the worthless green folding paper. :)
