Ok new saws that are more cut out for milling than the 357 and cost less than $702.00.
357-56.5cc 4.4hp

husky 385 84cc 6.3hp $699.00 (baileys)
dolmar 7900 79cc 6.3hp $689.00 (baileys)
stihl 440mag 70.7cc 5.4hp $699.00 (rentals unlimited a local dealer)

I think any one of these would be a better choice for milling. These prices include bars.

SO looks to me like this guy would have to spend just as much as he did already for a "better" saw. Hmmmmmm

I want ya to Know hoss I'm not trying to pick a fight with ya or nothing like that. Wasn't what I have had on my mind. Just wanted to look at the options.

However there is one that you have over looked. a craftsman trade.
I am understanding that this guy makes some fine furniture from the logs he mills.
Now maybe you might not be interested in a trade for a good used chainsaw.

But You, No, We have a friend that is in desperate need of a stronger mantle over his Bed.
also your, No, Our friend seems to get his hands on some used saws that might be better for milling.

Now if you could do me a favor and talk to your, No, Our friend about this he just might bite. If I were to talk to him he just would.....Well you know, better you did.

Been busy! Just getting over a messed up foot, and I'm WAAAAY behind on work around the house. Can't be on my feet more than a few hours, and can't carry heavy loads much, either. Yet. Man, it's been since October! :bang:

Don't plan to be around as much as I used to, just too much to do. I'm going to try to find a balance between living on this thing and staying cold turkey. I know, I know, rots a ruck!
