my 3 saw combo:

026 w/16 in .325
046 w/20 in 3/8 square
064 w/32 in 3/8 square

then add three specialty saws..

MS200t for climbing 14in pico
084 w/4ft bar .404 for big wood
HT 75 telescopic pole saw for storm work

That sounds like a 6 saw plan to me, haha.

200, T or not,
ported 350 for now (I want a ported 357, I MIGHT think about a 361)
Ported 046/460 (If I can't drop it with a 32" bar, I don't think I need to!!)

Nice to hear some logic on here for once...at least for a (mainly) firewood cutters point of view.

Yeah actually using your saws alot leads you to use what works best, not the biggest available. I could run my 2095 all day but by the end of the day all I would have accomplished would be burning up alot more gas than I needed to. The proper saw for the job is really important.

I droped a 38"x38" dead Oak, heavey lean, barberchared on me. I droped a 36" Hedge. I screwed up the back cut, wedges saved my butt!!
I've seen and done a lot. But the more I learn, the less I realize I know!!
32" bar gets you a 64" tree, easy. But are you SMART enough to get it on the ground?
I would LOVE to have an 088, or larger, with a 60", or larger, bar. But it would be for looks, just hanging from the ceiling. Myback is too screwed up to want to run it, and well, if I can't do it with the 32", I don't think I need to try!!!
Thank you for the compliment BTW!!!

big saws, little bars in whatever color scheme you want.. me, 346xp with a 16 .325, ported 460 with a 20 and an 8 pin, ported 660 with a 28 and 36 inch bars

i was limbing and bucking a 3 1/2 foot fir today with my ms310 pullin a 25 inch bar

Depends on what i'm cutting my smaller wood 3 saw:
Solo 637
Husky 346XP
Husky 372XP

Larger wood 3 saw:
346XP
372XP
Stihl 066

I am with the first post. I have my 346xp 16" and my 441 25" and I am planning, in the somewhat distant future, to aquire the 660/066(mostly for milling hardwoods.

The thee saw plan sounds good, but I think two saw plan and a one saw plan is also a good strategy.

My plans:
(1) Single saw plan
MS-361

(2) Two saw plan
346XP
372XP

(3) Three saw plan
MS 200T
346XP
372XP

After looking at the plans it seems that a two saw plan would be the best for me, following close is the one saw plan. A (3.5) saw plan would be if, I hit the lotto, bought and island in Canada and built my own cabin out of milled beams, Then I would need a 880 or 3120.

down the road i'd like it to be:
MS 170
MS 260
MS 361
But for now I only have the 170 :(

For a while it was 3 Huskies for my woodcutting endevors, 137 w/16", L65 w/16" or 20", and 2100CD w/20". Now it's 2 or 3: Stihl 260 Pro w/18", 288XP Husky w/20" (going to get a 24" b/c soon) and the Husky 137 coming along every once and awhile. When ever I cut wood the first two that go in the truck are the 288xp and the 260 Pro. But if it were any 3 it would be Small: 260 Pro, Medium: 288xp, and Large: 3120xp or MS 880. Just my 2 cents.
