You can't pull the base gasket on that saw......not without machine work.

I'm pretty certain the last one I did went back together without anything...but, according to my wife, I've been wrong before....If I used something to bump the squish back up, it would have been an aluminum can, good for about .004".

OP, you can use Yamabond 4, Loctite 518 (?), or Threebond 1194 (?). It can be use alone or to coat an aluminum can gasket.

Someone can verify the two with question marks as I use the YB for everything.

Could you give us an inside diameter of the strato tubes on the carb body?
If you list the carburetor body number and the diameters together,
that would help it to be searchable for the folks wanting to compare carbs.

As to those warts in the exhaust port: IF you do try to sand them off,
I would only apply pressure from middle out. I.E. like the exhaust gas flows.

It's just an OCD thing I have, so bear with me.
I'm just thinking that *IF* somehow there's a tiny bit of plating that's trailed off from them
then they *Might* roll and peel back the plating into the cylinder.
Or if they or strongly attached to base metal, they might tear out a little chunk of the port metal
since they are close to the edge/corner.

Yes I can be a bit obsessive at times, but it beats killing a part/cylinder.
