I'm in the big saw camp.......little saws don't turn me on too much. I would like to see the Husqvarna 395XP as the next saw we all build.

How about 120cc? Let 3120s, 084s, 088/880s, and any other in that neighborhood.

I like the 7900 for a platform... Or if you opted for 6 cubes, I'd open the field to any manufacturer like Mr. Lee suggested... I love a little brand banter...

Why not honor the vintage logging saws by selecting one of the big older models, or a couple different models in the same class? Aren't there a good number of big Macs or Homies still out there on the used market? That would give most guys a chance to see saws they don't know much about, and porters/builders would be charting lesser known territory.

Why not try something diff like a pole saw? Now that would be interesting.....A pole saw with a 28in bar:hmm3grin2orange:

7900 and we can do it at my june gtg

Hold up there my friend. I'll be going on vacation in June. The end of June would work but not the beginning.

They are too hard to come by IMHO. Also, if I had a classic Mac I wouldn't port it.

What about something different? Strato's looks like they are here to stay, so what about them. Maybe a 441, 372xt, or a 576?

Vote for the Stihl 362

I vote for the stihl ms 362. Two reasons why are because with all the changes in emissions, etc. all these builders may wanna discover new ways to tweak these strato engines. The other reason is because ALMOST everybody has a use for one and would all be starting with the same blank slate.:msp_tongue:
