For me it's pretty much the same ol' stuff as the other threads except the ms 250 is gone.
I've been kinda busy watching kids and putting peoples yards away for winter.
I have a few more clean ups to do then it's the wait for money/parts game.
I have a lot of projects that I will always be messing with or will be on going.
But I did get new crank bearings for Redman last week and hopefully I'll be putting that back together for the last time this week.
Then I have a Homelite Timberman 50 that needs to be put back together and sent on its merry way.
Once I have those off my bench I'd like to work on my 170 some more.

343 cut-off,

got a new piston and it measured over 1mm larger.

The intake side skirt was almost paper thin!

What's your next tool purchase Randy? A nice Tig? That would be nice addition.

I really would like to have a nice Tig.

They true the crank to perfection, then weld the pin so that it can't slip. I think they do fine once balanced and welded. DD, do you find them still a problem even after balancing and welding?

Who would you send the crank to? I thought about calling Cliff Helsel about it.

Thanks! Is that much compression really beneficial though?

I'll probably lose a little of that compression Will. You should hear this ##### idling though. :)

I've started using some octane boost lately...... :dizzy:

Update, she isn't on the bench... she performed so well today with a 25" ES bar, I took her to dinner.... I cannot believe how strong this thing is and how little fuel it uses..

With the crank issues these saw have I won't be running it anymore till the crank pin is welded.

I've been playing with my lathe.....

I think this is easier to set up and do than cutting them by hand....
