Woods saw / race saw ?

One difference that has been missed is legality of mods. If your company (or it's insurer) won't let you take the modded saw onto their block, I guess it's not a woods saw...

Yes, pulling out spark arrestors may make the saw breath better, but the spark arrestors were there for a purpose.

If a fire starts nearby and you're caught with a modded saw then you may need to prove your innocence.
