I use 87 non-ethanol gas mixed with 4oz of Belray H1R and 2oz of 108 Octane Boost per gallon.

I use the 87 because I figure it's fresher than the 91 that no one buys.

The octane boost came about because I build saws with well over 200psi pretty regularly. One saw in particular (Rolltide's 395XP) wanted to run on after a long cut when shut off. The octane boost stopped that issue.

The 32:1 ratio is because 4oz per gallon is simple......real simple. That and the extra oil makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I started using H1R after someone posted a link to a RC site oil comparison (you think us chainsaw heads are freaky check out those guys).

So.....what do you use and why?

An oil thread? What the hell is wrong with you? Overcome by fumes?

87 octane no ethanol, shindaiwa one oil at 40:1 with 4 oz of seafoam. See, nobody cares. :D

Mastermind I got a 365xt mastermind that I should be getting what mix
I use 50:1 stihl oil because its easy to get in my other saws

Here we go again :deadhorse:

it's in me sig .... why coz most run 40:1 synthetic in ported saws
and it burns cleen and no stinging eyes

:surrender:

With a 379ml bottle, you can add to 3.2 gal of gas for 32:1, 4.0 gal of gas for 40:1, 4.3 gal of gas for 43:1, 5.0 gal of gas for 50:1, etc.

Tru-Fuel 40 to 1 in all my saws and Tru-Fuel 50 to 1 in all the other 2T equipment. I can't get ethanol free fuel without going to Trick Fuel in 5 gal. cans. Not the cheapest way to go, but I sleep better at night!

I'm a firm believer in Opti-2 and mix it with 89 octane at 80:1 for all 2-strokes I own. Been using it for about 12 years now. Burns rather clean/smokeless, provides great component protection and never have had any plug fouling, clogged spark arrestors, etc.

Moto-mix for the 441 and fs-250, Tru-fuel at 40-1 for everything else except for the el-cheapo bolens. It gets some off brand mix at 40-1 with months old ethanol fuel and still starts and runs fine.

Oh no you didn't moobs! :bang: If I was a mod you would be takin a trip :D I know our not bored so what gives.

I'd still would like to find a good AFFORDABLE oil that I can run in everything.

We have burnt 30 gallons of pre-mix in a good weekend before.

Regular gas w/ Valvoline @ 40:1 for the Homeowner leaf blower (for blowing snow off the wood piles), old Toro 2T snowblower, home owner chainsaws.

Mid-grade w/ Husky oil @ 40-50:1 for the Husky's

Regular w/ Yammalube @ 32-40:1 for 4-6 snowmobiles.

I hate carbon build up, but I can't afford to burn anything down.

Man is it that slow in here! :msp_biggrin:
