Traded my 288XP in on a Stihl..........

I bought the Husqvarna 180bt and let me tell ya, this is one powerful blower that starts so dang easy. Congrats on the new BR600, I looked at them before I bought the Husky and the Stihl should make for a good blower.

    How to remove carbon buildup?

:agree2: I use the seafoam in my tractor, boat engine, truck and about every engine I have. That is good stuff. I mixed two cans of seafoam into 2 gallons of gas for my outboard engine. Before I started running it I took out the spark plug and looked inside the cylinder and it was all...

    "Like Buttah!"

I put my full chisel chain on yesterday and it was also my first time using a chain like this. Right before I put the chain on, I swapped the cat muffler for a non-cat muffler on my Husky 359 and then tried it out. Between the muffler and the chain it felt like I got a brand new saw!

    It's Begun

Lets face the facts folks...Any company that is spending 40% of their money on labor can no longer compete in the US market. They have two choices, move over seas where the labor is cheaper or close their doors. Unless Umama does something to stop these companies from moving out of the US, your...

I can't get the muffler off of my 359

So I guess I need to take it to the shop for a tune now? When I bought it the shop told me to bring it back for a free tune so it's not gonna cost me a dime.

I can't get the muffler off of my 359

I was missing the top two screws. I got those out and it came off with a breez. I put the new non-cat muffler on the saw and it now sounds like a race bike. lol

I can't get the muffler off of my 359

What am I doing wrong? I have worked on it for the last hour and can't get the muffler off so I can put on the non cat muffler.

    Depression deals.

My local Husqvarna dealer must be having a tough time. He is a huge shop with a bunch of inventory (way more than he needs for sure). Well he knocked $75 off of a brand new saw because he said the economy was crap. I have also seen a lot of good deals on CL on campers, cars, people selling...

    ms260 or ms361

:agree2: Sounds like you have the bigger stuff in check and now you need a light weight saw for the little stuff. Get the 260 and don't look back. Or if you have a "good" Husqvarna dealer in your area then spend the same money on a 346xp and have a saw that will smoke the 260. :jawdrop:

Is a 50cc saw powerful enough to cut good sized firewood?

Well, I went yesterday and spent my 346xp money on a new Husqvarna 180BT.

Buying first new saw, need opinions

I've held both and the 346xp feels better to me and from what everyone here says the 346 will flat out smoke a 260.

I paid $475 for my new 359 last week?

I know, its like beating a dead horse

The biggest difference is that the 310 is a throw away saw, when it breaks you just throw it away. The 361 is a pro saw and when it breaks you rebuild it. Out of those two I would pick the 361 any day but in reality I would save a little money and buy the Husqvarna 359. In my opinion it's the...

    Notes from a non-arborist

I agree, this is a wonderful site with a lot of very knowledgeable folks. Everyone here really helped me make an educated decision when I bought my new saw the other day. Be careful if you stick around too long because CAD is highly contagious!!

Is a 50cc saw powerful enough to cut good sized firewood?

Well I already have the 359 for the bigger stuff, I just wanted the 346 for the smaller stuff and to have a saw that is so light and easy to use. Would I be better off with a Husky smaller than the 346?

Is a 50cc saw powerful enough to cut good sized firewood?

I'm just curious if the Husky 346 has enough power to get the job done cutting hardwood up to 20"
