What size of lowering rope do you use?

If your reffering to me I say that I have been cautious when comes to my work and I double up with ropes whne thiers a question of strenght, if a heavier rope isn't available. I dont practice technics that are beyond my capabilities or my equipment. I talking about straight lowering with no rigging,

What size of lowering rope do you use?

I was wondering what size lowering rope people use? Iv'e seen some arbourists use 1 inch and 5/8 but i think on alot of trees thier overkill. I use 1/2 arborplex and i've lowerd entire Oaks top and all that were about 50-60feet tall and24" diameter. with no problem. But some people need bigger...

    spikes

The bean bags are god for rope placement at the start. The only time I've seen my father us a rope and (not) free climb before getting tyed in was if the tree was to thick to hold on to. When needed he just makes a small coil and throws it.

    Fall Or Prune

Thats a little much, maybe the guy had ???? loads of work for him or the job was a posibility of great money, not every body has the desire nor the reason to walk away from a customer he wasn't that out of line. How high do you cut your falling hinges?

I usaully cut low so i don't have to make a second cut too. And it helps when pulling a tree or stem over.
