We've always used startron or stabil with no problems although i like startron a great deal more.

Our shop has had two 562s and one 550xp this happened to.two was airleaks.crank bearing leaking and one the cylinder wasnt torqued properly.the other was straight gassed and the diagnostic said thecarb got to 141 degrees.luckily they had all been customers for over 30 years and the boss got new...

Hmm I have a partner 350 that looks like that.its a very nice saw but it's running is sporadic to say the least.got a mind of its own

On a different note I have 6-8 of those rare carbs if anyone needs one.also misc other 262-66-68 stuff.id rather help someone instead of letting it go to waste.john

Sometimes you can feel inside the cheaper jugs/plastics,they get kind of a slimy feel when they start to break down.what we've seen around here was from thin milk type jugs and plastic gas cans without the underwriters laboratories. Stamp on the side.just low quality cans.theres even a few gas...

Our shop bad a big problem with plastic cans a few months ago.they didn't have the underwriters lab stamp on em and the ethanol was breaking down the plastic,therefore when the customer kept using the can it transferred to his saw and eventually stuck the piston ring.we redone the topend twice...

Oh yeah check the clutch.those cranks are drilled on the clutch side so you can put grease in it.

Whew,sorry to hear about your new saw.imo it sounds like the muffler and or baffle.at least that's what I hope it is.coming from the front dbl check the muffler,and for kicks under the chain brake.i sure hope its not serious,but if it's new its got a 2 year warranty(at least the huskys we sell...
