Lookin for a piston and cylinder for 262XP...have a beat up 262 that is getting very low on compression. Have a couple project Johnny 49SP's as trade bait. Both have great P/C's need fuel lines and carb rebuilds.

I am looking for a recoil/fuel tank assembly for a Stihl 040/041.

Thanks,
Ryan

Husky 288/281

Looking for a good Husky 288 cylinder, and clutch cover with working chainbrake. I'd take a good muffler too. I have Husky 61 parts and some stihl 034/036 parts to trade or can purchase items as well.

Hey I haven't forgot about you I just haven't been able to make it out to the dealer. I'll be there Saturday and I'll try to pick up another cylinder for you. I couldn't locate the clutch cover or chain brake though. What kinda shape is the 61 in?

I only have parts for the 61 like carb setups and cylinders etc...

Well, seller will ship to me but i noticed this cylinder doesn't have the decomp setup. I have two saws to build and have the cylinder and piston from another AS member, they cleaned up well so awaiting a new piston ring for that one. I have an OEM 288xp piston and ring and really only need the cylinder which kinda saves money for a couple of clutch covers, a top cover and a muffler to complete both saws. I still may go the ebay route yet but the AS member will check on availability of a good used cylinder so perhaps i'll wait.

Thanks alot. When i first looked at the 288xp i got, the cylinder and piston didn't look so good through the exhaust port, once apart though i got a better look at them and some Muriatic acid, sandpaper and hone and they will be usable after all its the ring that makes contact with the cylinder wall and i never took any metal off the piston(s) crown so thats still ok. Like i stated earlier, a good used cylinder, muffler, two clutch covers with brakes and one top cover and i'm good to go. I know it'll take time to get these parts together but that makes it more worthwhile.

Both of my Dolmars 111 & 115 were seized when I got them. Scotch brite and muriatic acid works wonders!
