Everything on this thread is just opinions in my book. So at one GTG Brad showed by running them that the 346 was the winner. Does'nt mean that it would have been the winner if I or someonelse was running the saws did'nt want it to be the winner. (SEE HOW THIS WORKS) At another GTG Brad was'nt running the 5100 and the 5100 WON. (SEE HOW THIS WORK YET) All of this argueing is'nt going anywhere and never will. Whoever want's to argue that is'nt going to win! It's a lost cause so pick your poison and run the HE!! out of it.
Your arguement holds no water. Like Andy said, we all ran the STOCK saws in the 50cc shootout. And racing ported saws with race chains has absolutely no merit in this discusion. Besides, I don't play those kinds of games. Let the fastest saw win. I don't care what brand it is. I think I've shown through out my 15000 posts that I tell it like it is.
Someone besides me is making the big deal about Gink beating my saws at the GTG. He won, plain and simple. What you guys are twisting and misrepresenting is that I want to know why so that I can improve. In this case, it was a chain. Plain and simple. I know for a fact that the chain that Gink was using was good for an additional 20% cut time improvement over one of my chains. But that's part of the game. Just a ported saw won't win the race. Just a fast chain won't win if the saws are comparable at all. It takes both. I only brought half of the equation. Gink brought both and took it him. I'm cool with that. I aim to do better next time Seriously now, quit making out of it more than what it is.
Further more, Gink and I have no qualms about it. Next GTG you're likely to see us swapping B&Cs simply to find out which saw is indeed fastest. It's all in fun......and bragging rights
