Nope. Just did the research. Fits 394 & 395 only.

That may be due to big brother putting a rev-limiter on there. I'd try a 272 coil and see if it fits. My Poulan 505 has a 272 style coil on it, but it will be getting swapped to an unlimited one if I can ever get to it.

does anyone have a huskie 141 that got busted up but still runs,, i have one with fantastic plastic but the piston is smoked and a few pieces missing,, i have cash and a few chains and maybe a bar or 2 to trade

What are the other pieces that you need? I got a 41 with a smoked top end, I think it's basically the same saw.

To the people waiting for parts from me:

I've had a lousy past week dealing with my FIL's health issues & a bad internet connection, and the next week isn't looking much better. Now that I have my internet working I'll be in touch. Thanks for your patience.

Chris

Thanks to the guys that responded but they just did not have the parts I needed. So I posting it again with pictures of my broken piece. Drop me a PM if you think you got what I need. THANK YOU!!!

Contact member old 040. I sold him 2 farmboss' recently, but he might just get them up and running. Worth a shot to ask.

Been messing with a Mcculloch 310. I found out the plastic cover over the carb and the throttle cable are both very brittle and are no longer functional. Anyone have one of these little devil contraptions or parts they would like to move on? I have a box of little yellow devil saws in pcs if anyone needs, but nothing to fit this one. Little red parts too.

Strange as it sounds, the Chevette diesel engine (made by Isuzu) is actually worlds better than the gas engine in those cars. Not saying much there though...:D

The Mazda diesel in the Tempos wasn't so hot. My wife had a gasser Tempo when I met her. I HATED that car. The 1.9L pushrod engine in it was actually pretty good however. Only good part of the car. The electrical system in the car was terrrible. I had a fun time keeping it running. Dash switches (stupid rotary blower switch) were crap. The CV joints and brakes were crap. It almost burned to the ground a few times, and none of the wiring had been tampered with. My "fixes" were worlds better than the factory crap. They were still holding together 10 years later when her stepfather was in a terrible wreck that totalled the car (and killed their poor old black lab).

I mentioned in an earlier post that I thought it had a Datsun motor, but you are right it was an Isuzu motor. Tom

Isuzu diesels rule. That's how GM eventually won the diesel pickup wars; they finally brought in their own 'ringer' (Isuzu) to design their engine for them just like Ford and Chrysler had done long before with IHC and Cummins.

Girl, please. The Cummins is still the best and easiest to get along with. But they are way ahead of the current Ford offering, and getting closer to the Cummins. It probably, well OK is, the best powertrain, but its the Allison vs. whatever that puts them way out front.

When you need to tow something really heavy, like way out at the edge of the envelope heavy, then yes the Cummins is the best. But the Duramax wins everywhere else. Most people don't tow super heavy stuff often enough to realize this advantage.

But both are way ahead of the 7.3 IHC engine, let alone the 6.0 and 6.4 Powerstrokes. Ford afficionados will tell you how great the 7.3 engine is/was. Amazing that the Ford was able to keep the story of the huge number they replaced under warranty (personal experience here) so quiet. I remember when the 6BT's first showed up in trucks in Ryder and Hertz lease fleet (they were clients at the time). They got a terrible reception! It was a few model years before Cummins worked out the bugs, just in time for the contract with Dodge. I remember the lease salesmen (they actually 'built' the truck for the client) saying how that engine would bury Cummins! Man how laughably wrong they were:laugh:

Well now I don't know about that.
I'm pretty happy with my Cum-a-long and 5 speed!

The Allison is a great automatic though.
Don't know why Dodge didn't get it while Chervolay was still piddling with that laughingstock they used before the Duramax came along.

Might have a flywheel for ya. I gotta check to see if it is in good shape (no busted fins).

Got one on the way. Thanks for looking Andrew.

If you live in the mountains its hard to beat a cummins with a manual transmission. I had a duramax/allison and it shifted itself crazy hauling cattle and hay where the farm was.

Stihl 031av Gas Cap

I am looking for an 031av gas cap. I have tried to purchase this cap before on ebay but I was sent the wrong cap. Seems like people have been trying to sell me this cap that has a flat blade set screw in the side of it and it has the STIHL logo on it as well. This cap will not fit my saw as it is slightly too big. The cap I need is just a plain cap with no logo on it and a small pinhole on the top of it.

Does the cap with the stihl logo for an older model 031?

PM me if you have anything. I got some 009L, 031av and some other misc. parts.

Thanks
