The only sensible comment I can add here is that I have read that it is cheaper for manufacturing plants to produce engine parts in china and do the end assembly "at home". There for the product is from sweden, germany, usa or where ever. Rumor has it that the small Dolmars(ps32) are produced that way. I wouldn't be astonished if the chinese Stihl plant also wasn't responsible for some parts on their smaller saws. So who cares about product innovations if it stays cheap and consumers are going to buy it.

Gee thomas, I dunno. I don't see one of those. Maybe the internet was waffling.

Funny how that happens when you are scared to stand behind what you write and then go back and erase it in an attempt to claim that it never happened. Tell me again how you're a stand up guy who always owns up to what he does.

Oh yes thomas, I'm scared - it's the internet. I hope nothing scary pops out of my screen!:eek2:

Listen, if - hypothetically - I type something and delete it before you replay, well you know, you just gotta be faster. You probably hear that a lot.

Keep in mind that you are in this thread to harass me - try to make a better show of it and don't be asking me to make it easy for you. That's kinda lame.

So, you're denying what you wrote and then deleted?

Have you considered just addressing him as Winnie? Sure would save a bunch of typing.:yoyo:
Do others call him that in the Hundred Acre Wood? I didn't want to be impolite. I was going to use "Bear of Little Brain"*, but thought Poo Bear would be shorter.

* “When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.”

Me too, the lack of backbone is disgusting.
That's rich. You show up in a thread to disrupt it, get people who were actually interested in the topic to leave, and then run away because you're disgusted by a deleted post. If the deleted comment said what I wanted it to, I wold not have deleted it. Sorry if you failed to capitalize on it.

Back on topic

I believe the original question was at least partially answered by mopar3 on the second page but was drowned out in all the usual suspects bullpoo..

Molding the two parts together creates a laminate/composite that adds strength and rigidity, less material is needed=less cost and lighter too.

For the non technical types, think plywood.
Glue two sheets of paper together only on the corners, then glue two together over their entire surface and see which one is stiffer.
