First, sorry if this is the wrong sub-forum. Wasn't sure where to put this.

What would cause a 4-cycle engine to stall under load? ...now let me elaborate more. I have a 6 HP Tecumseh horizontal shaft engine. When the engine starts to bog down, I disengage the clutch (it's a snowblower) well before it "should" stall. However, even after the load is removed, it continues to wind down very quickly and die. It starts right back up. On any other engines I've used in the past, once the load is removed it spools right back up. Would this be a governor issue? Carb in general? Weird. This is well after the engine is fully warmed up.

Thank for any help!!!

Sounds like a governor issue but, just for a try, give the main jet 3/4 turn out(richer) and see what happens, you might find the problem gone.
