I agree but I wanted to try and keep as many variables limited as possible. Looks like I didn't eliminate enough for some.A new chain will of course not be as fast as a properly filed used one.

It does when you just don't have any more money. Many people are just getting by. Sometimes there just isn't another 50 bucks anywhere. Is saving $50-100 on a saw that you will likely own for 20 years really a big deal?

That is why the 590 is so popular.

What? The small mount the the main reason I'd take a 555 over a 562.The only thing not to like about the 555 is the small bar mount, other than that it's an amazing buy for sure.

Small mount 3/8 bars are less common, and it's nice to be able to share the same bars that fit 75% of the saws I own. IMHO small mount on a 60cc saw is odd. What? The small mount the the main reason I'd take a 555 over a 562.
Makes sense. 562xp is the only saw I have with large mount, the other 7 or 8 take small mount.Small mount 3/8 bars are less common, and it's nice to be able to share the same bars that fit 75% of the saws I own. IMHO small mount on a 60cc saw odd.
Whats the largest saw u own Don?Makes sense. 562xp is the only saw I have with large mount, the other 7 or 8 take small mount.
562. I had a hot rod 365/72, but sold it after running the 562 for a year.Whats the largest saw u own Don?
Gotcha. I guess if a fellow doesnt like anything over a 60cc theres no need for a large mount. I ran my 562 this past Sunday in about 10 smaller trees and loved every minute of it, very easy and smooth saw to use562. I had a hot rod 365/72, but sold it after running the 562 for a year.
