Thanks ahead of time for replies. New saw, 1st saw, went to add bar/chain oil and the oil already in the stihl saw was pink. My orange gallon container is pouring yellow/amber. Any problems mixing? Is one the Bio stuff? Thanks again.

V/r,

Chris

I don't know about the pink oil, but bar oils are perfectly fine to mix.

That's interesting because just this afternoon I poured the bar oil out of a saw before I shipped it to an AS member and it had pink/red bar oil. Never saw that color. Must be a certain brand. It was about the color of ATF but wasn't as it was thick and tacky.

The Pink/Red stuff is likely wally Poulan stuff. The color varies from blood Red to pinkish.

The only compatibility issues are with some of the "Organic" and bio-degradable oils like Arbor-ol and Canola based stuff.
If you're concerned, just dump it out, and rinse out the oil tank with a splash of diesel.

Stay safe!

Thanks all. Think I'll dump it prior to filling to be safe.
