I have recently buried 20" bar with 8 pin on my stock saw in dried red oak, no problems. I keep the 7 pin in case it is needed but thus far no. I don't have a larger bar but think I will get 32" when needed.

Does a 7 pin run the same chain and the 8 pin? Or are they different? What model Stihl bar is a 7 pin, assuming 3/8 and 20"?

22" ES bars only come in .063 gauge and take 76DL. Part# 3003 000 9425. Now why they make this bar, must have been some anal feller not wanting a 20" or 25", LOL.:dizzy:

.063 only is an indication that it is primarily for the European market (at least not the US one), and/or maybe it is the result of a large "special order"......

Just guessing, really!

+1

except the "swiftly left" part.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what I am missing.

What does a Mod see that I don't?

Ok Mods, fess up. Which one of you just bought a 441? :greenchainsaw:

OK, I have gone and done it. I got me a big ol fat bottom girl. I went to Mount O.P.E. today and brought home a 441 with 20" sugi hara bar. I'll get a bigger bar later; I spent enough for one day. Pics to come shortly... :chainsaw:
