Went on a motorcycle ride today got home and the wife is using the weed trimmer and wearing a face mask. These face masks are the next pre-filter experiment. They are made out of polyester, thin, cheap and are easily shaped. Going to leave a very lose fit around the filter so as not to restrict air flow.

At the store we bought a 10 pack for $1.
WalMart has some also but need to look at them to see if they are to restrictive. The Dollar Tree masks are not.

Update: I think those masks are too restrictive. Gong to make a pre-filter out of an old polyester athletic shirt. Similar to Under Armor material. If needed, it could be oiled first and washed to reuse.
