Felling the Tall Cherry

This is the tallest cherry I have seen, over 70'. This was the second of two taken down outside of Eugene Oregon. The day before I took the first tree out, and limbed this one. It is so much fun getting to fell big trees like this. I spend most my time in confined spaces having to take trees apart piece by piece. I set up a 5:1 mechanical advantage to pull it down. I had to lower the top most of the way. My ground crew only had about 20ft of slack on my 150ft bull rope. Yes, my hands got a little hot.
