How do you store your saws?

I agree, take the bars off, goes a long ways in storing in a tidy space. If you need the keep the bars on or that is your preference, saw log trees are way cool. Just make sure you get a seasoned log, else you'll need to put up with some rust on your bars and chains.

I put a few squirts of oil in each plunge cut. Haven't had any rust issues yet.

Since I'd like to make a couple saw trees, how do you keep people from cutting themselves if the get too close?
Most of my bars arent sticking through an exorbitant amount, but the one 36" bar on mine has a sheath over it. I also have mine in an area where most people wouldn't be walking through too often, it's just in the middle of the garage for the picture.

If you are making multiples, you dont need to make it so you have saws in all four directions. My original tree was only through 2 sides and backed into a corner.
