I for one know the sound of that muffler. I did exactly the same with a STIHL361, Music!!!

My 357 sounds completely different than a 346. Good pop! Love that sound!
That pipe goes half way into the muffler housing, creating a chamber affect.

Mine was 2" long/ 1/2" ext. out and 1" inside dia. LOUD!!!!

USPS was slow, but got this saw today. Very nice clean low hr saw! Nice muff mod too.

Hey Don,
noticed that in your sig "ported 357" is in bold while the rest is in normal font. Also have seen many favorable refrences to you 357 in recent post, one even saying that it is your new favorite. Am I on the right track with the "bold" font and the comments?

Yes sir Steven, that is correct. My 'self' ported 357xp is an angry animal in a small package.

I put all my ported saws in bold.... them's the one's that have been to Cuddle lane.
