I can be fairly cavalier with my saw, but the fact that you were taking the clutch cover off with the saw running and pinched disturbed me a little. Might be sop for some though, can't say.

edit> old news maybe. so, stop making sense.

 Saw was not running when I took it apart.

In the picture the brass oil line is supposed to have a half square rubber shock absorber seal on it!

Yes, I took it out for the picture, I almost lost it before. I am changing the oil feed tube, the brass part, and the rubber seal, where the pump and tube connect. They disintegrated when the clutch came apart. The pump is scuffed but I hope it still works.

I got the tube in now thanks. Am I suppose to use locktight on the clutch threads?

No; I never have, some may but thats the reason it's left hand tread, just get it tight but not too tight be aight! I would check the pump drive carefully the plastic helocopter looking thing if its questionable replace it!

PS: my bet if it did not crack the pump or go all the way through the housing it should be ok!

Look at it this way if it did you get to do it all again<a href="http://www.sweetim.com/s.asp?im=gen&lpver=3&ref=11" target="_blank"><img src="http://content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/000203FA.gif" border="0" title="Click to get more." ></a>

Yes, I do not mind the work but the whole pump assembly is VERY expensive. Actually I did change the pump drive, it was damaged, mine only had the 1 "wing", what is the difference between the two?

My guess is one was missing never seen a one winger on a 372 but I could be wrong:dizzy:

PS: I knew about the cost was just messin with ya, if it does leak someone round here prolly has one they can spare.

Ok its newer epa the one wing looked it up!

OK thanks, is the newer EPA assembly 503 52 13-03? I think the older version is 503 52 13-01. I guess it is OK then? What if the original one was the pre EPA version, does it make a difference? Maybe I ordered the wrong one?
