I stopped by the show on Sunday morning around 9:00 but there was no one in sight so I decided to head for home.

I guess the head to head race between the Wright GS5020A and the MiniMac will have to wait until next year.

I got home and had a message from the fellow borrowing my other truck..."it's smoking anti-freeze out the exhaust"...now I have a lot of work to do with the addition of the latest batch of saws and now the truck.

Credit where credit is due, all of the action shots were taken my AS Senior Member nogoingback (Chris). He stopped to visit just before the "races" started and I simply handed him my camera and asked him to take some photo's.

Superb pics of an interesting show for sure ! Chris did a wonderful job

Now I'd wish I'd been there to beat that US old iron with some top notch sauerkraut and swedish saws in my collection, but alas...:hmm3grin2orange:

I am a big fan of two men saws so it really would have been a pleasure to watch the ones running at that show. I did a show two weeks ago but it was raining cats and dogs all day long, so the event was a real bummer. I remember very well spending 2 hours of filing on a KS43 scratcher chain to touch it up a bit.

PS. the 2 man with that 3 ft bar is awesome..

Who is James? Is he a member here? He had quite a homelite collection.

Bill, I will post all the times, probably Tues or Wed. whitedogone, James is a local who showed up back in 1999 or 2000 with a pick-up and trailer full of saws to show and run. We didn't know each other before that, but became fast friends. He's not on A.S., but that is probably because he spends his time working on his saws, and taking care of his boys. He must have close to 300 saws and 3 boys. He knows more about saws, inside and out, as anyone I've met, way more than me.

I agree 100% with Scott,

James is one of the most straight forward knowledgeable guys I have met. His collection is top notch as well as his knowledge.

Steve, thanks for posting the videos. The first is my Mac 250 which hadn't been beat in years in the 5 and under class. Roger and Bruce both had better times. I made 2 cuts in 3.70 sec, they tied with 3.50, then Roger won the saw off. Roger was running a Husky 65, and Bruce a Home 450.

Scott,

Thanks for posting the times. Iwas trying to take pics and video while getting saws running so I had no idea what saws cut well.
