That other saw on the shelf is the 2153.

After buying a 2171 from Spike I went back four weeks later and bought the 2153.
Four more weeks down the road I've used the 2153 more than the 2171.

This is just the perfect two saw plan!

I concur, but I did it the other way around. Got the 2153 first and then the 2171 because they are slated to go away. Just one more victim of CAD! Like you I find myself grabbing the 2153 most often unless the wood is over 20".

That's a nice saw, and Spike is a great dealer... You can't beat that combination..

I stopped in to meet Spike, and walked out with a 576xp.. The saw has exceeded all my expectations! Spike will be seeing me again when the next iteration of the 262xp is introduced..

I'm saving my sheckels..

The tendency to grab a 2153 over a 2171 is something that we share cause we're all getting older.
