hi guys, did some cutting to day and the muffler bolts fell out somewhere, put locktight on them to, any one know what size the bolts are and pitch so i can go get new ones please
thanks for that info, wonder why yours has studs instead of bolts, if i remember there about 1'' longMy 61 has studs. I pulled a nut and it is 4mmx.075 pitch. Not sure what the other end is.
thanks, that is great to know, its oiling good now even with the 24'' bar on , using 1 to 1 of petrol to oilThe deepest slot the most oil it will put out
yeah sorry about that , 1 tank bar oil used per 1 tank fuelYou mix fuel into the bar oil? Or the consumption is 1:1? I'd think that's a whole lot of oil.. I use about 4:1 on the 65's with 24" bars.. maybe a little more fuel on the ported saws
My muffler is 3" deep so the bolts would need to be about 3-3/4" or so.thanks for that info, wonder why yours has studs instead of bolts, if i remember there about 1'' long
Thanks Dan, got one coming and was thinking about putting another set of spikes on the cover side,Well it's intention is to keep those long bolts from vibrating loose or breaking. So if your homemade bracket can achieve that than I'd say your good!
Looks like your bolts are quite a bit shorter. Here is an ebay listing for bracket and bolts. That shows what the factory one looks like. It secures under the dog as well like my 181.
In case anyone was wondering this epoxy tape is holding up really well so far.So results are in on that epoxy.
It didn't hold up. I think part of the reason is I should have scuffed up the plastic first because it obviously not solvent based. It just skinned over the plastic and can be peeled off.
So I tried something new I saw at the lumber yard.
Seems like pretty decent stuff. Really sticky while it's activating. I'm glad I wore gloves!
After it cured it felt really hard. But the last inch of the wrap wasn't quite secure do I wrapped it with some electrical tape.
