Forget that. Shop around, my 660 with 32" B/C and some "goodies" was $960.

$979 for a 28" MS650 at my local shop in NC. That was on Monday 12-22. I am about 95% certain that it's the same 650 they've had forever, just the hang tag keeps getting changed out with the price increases. It was $879 a year or so ago.

I opted for the 460... ordered it and a dual-port muffler Monday morning @ 11:00, and had it singing alto on Tuesday afternoon @ 4:30

Until recently, it was priced roughly the the same as the 460 in the PNW.. but now it's back to the "old price".

It's way more of saw than a 460.. much more than 0.3hp would indicate... it's hard for me to tell the differnce between a 660 and 650 in most wood, but then again, many saws are like that.

There's one at a dealer near me w/20" bar for $1179, give or take a few dollars. Right above it is a 460 for $800-900 w/20" bar. He just got the 650 a week or two before Christmas. The 460 has some dust on it.

Husqvarna: 137, 61 (in pieces-yet), L65, 288xp, 2100CD
McCulloch: Mac 2-10 (won't stay running-rainy day project)

Thats kind of what I'm after,my 460 handles a 36" bar as long as you don't make a habit of it and I'd kind of like a little bigger saw to leave the 36" on permanently. Scott
