Hey guys. Looking for a smaller, lightweight but quality saw to use for limbing and helping father in law cut up smaller firewood. I’ve researched here, but times and opinions change including introduction of new models. Would like to spend under 300.
I prefer to buy local from a servicing dealer and then online from specialty retailer like Baileys if I can find a good sale. I have Stihl, Husky and Echo locally.
Currently have a 10 year old Echo CS-450 and new Stihl MS271. Both run well but need something lighter and smaller in the 12-14” bar range. Prefer to buy new and maintain.
Leaning toward the Stihl Brand perhaps the MS-193 (a bit more than I want to spend) or Stihl MS-171 (seems to be lower build quality than the 271 I have now).
Suggestions?
