I fail to understand the why.
I can made a 262XP run well enough without butchering it up.
How are you going to solve the difference in stroke between the crank and the cylinder?Why...? Because I can and because I had the parts anyway... + it's fun to be the first to do it... I will post pictures and video as the build goes on...
That is doable, as far as I know - but it is not a simple job. At least you start with a crank and a top end that has the same stroke.....How about the 357 that had a 272 top end on it?
Got the piston in place... I need to make a llittle more space, it's a tite fit...
But the stroke on the 044 and the 262 must be about the same... It seem to work out wellView attachment 318005
